I’m in Christchurch this week as part of a small team conducting an internal review of Ernst & Young’s client files. It doesn’t sound very exciting but it’s nice to have a change from the Auckland office and we’re having some fun.
It sure is cold down here. I bought long-johns (thermals) and gloves on the first day (there was ice on all the cars).
I had a bit of a walk around the city centre as I’ve never been to Christchurch before (except driving through on the way to somewhere else) and it seems like a nice place. The Christchurch Cathedral is very impressive. Apparently there were only about 400 European males living in the area at the time it was built so they must have all pitched in. I’m not religious but it’s definitely worth a look.
